I haven’t blogged in awhile, again, because my motto for this year is “Less Stress in 2015” and I just haven’t had a lot of extra time for blogging.
This past week I have been sick with an upper respiratory- cold thing that knocked me on my butt for a few days. That’s how this blog post was formed actually. While sick, I saw a couple of articles about husbands and how to basically be a better husband and they upset me! Like really upset me. They were good articles with relevant information but I just felt like whoever wrote them were saying, “Here, dear husband of mine, let me tell you why you are a terrible husband– because you don’t do these things.”
I love my husband.
He is FAR from perfect but He is AWESOME!
Maybe not everyone feels that way about their husband but everyone should try to find something good about the man they are married to without turning it around and saying “But you’re still not good at this.” I understand trying and helping to make each other better but please don’t do it in a blog post.
***DISCLAIMER:I know there are some husbands who haven’t been good husbands nor do they want to be good husbands and I’m sorry for those of you who have had that experience but don’t let that experience make you bitter or unforgiving or unloving.***
I will tell you that there have been times when I didn’t always feel like my husband was awesome but God has shown me that I should feel this way all the time because who am I to say any different. He has his faults, and SO DO I. Those blog posts reminded me that I have a lot to be grateful for.
My husband is not perfect but:
1. He leads my family.
2. He leads me.
3. He loves Jesus and everyday I see him work hard to live for Him.
4. He takes care of me when I’m sick.
5. He takes care of my mom when I’m sick.
6. He takes care of my mom when I can’t.
7. He sweeps and mops our house.
8. He does laundry.
9. He takes out the trash.
10. He loves me when I am unloveable.
11. He gets into my world and does things I like.
12. He takes me on date nights.
13. He’s a hard worker and provider for our family.
14. He has a very forgiving heart.
15. He is so kind and gentle.
16. He holds me when I’m sad.
17. He cries with me when I’m sad.
18. He reminds me to laugh.
19. He’s dependable.
20. He’s trustworthy.
There are many, many more things I could list that make my husband AWESOME but I’ll stop here so that I can write about the other reasons on another blog post.
I guess what I want to say is, Ladies, ENCOURAGE your husbands, LIFT them up. Tell them WHY they are AMAZING. Tell them WHY you think they are AWESOME.
I’m grateful for my husband for all of the above reasons and still more.
Do something nice for your hubby this week to show him how grateful you are for him and come back and share how that went. Oh, and how about boasting on him a little in the comments section too by telling me why your husband is awesome.

Today my husband called my doctor and made me an appointment to see him. He recognized my limit even when I didn’t want to. He provided and took care of me even though I didn’t ask. He loves me when I’m unlovable too. I’m glad God has sent us some amazing men! Thanks for sharing this Leslie ❤️
