I had the honor of throwing a lingerie party for my friend Patty this past weekend. I had so much fun putting it together, decorating and making food. Here are some snapshots.
I ordered a digital invitation from Rachel on Etsy at Ruffled Sundries.
The Invitation:
When my friend got engaged we got her a “Bride To Be” sash so I didn’t want to get her another one. Instead, I made her a corsage to match the evening.
The Corsage:
Since the theme was “Ooh La La” with red and black lace I went ahead and took advantage of Valentine’s Day coming and decorated with things I could leave up until then.
The Decorations:
Making the “Ooh La La” banner was so simple and really inexpensive too.
I learned how to make the tissue pom-pom’s and kind of went a little crazy.
I bought the round red fan thingees in the dollar section at Target. I love the ONE SPOT!
I got pictures of some of the food. I say some because some items were gone quickly and other things (like the meatballs) just didn’t photograph well.
The menu consisted of :
- Raspberry Chipotle Meatballs
- Chicken Salad sandwiches
- Black Forest Havarti Pinwheels
- Vegetable Cups
- Potato, Onion & Chorizo Spanish Tortilla
- Non-Alcoholic Sangria
- Chocolate Ganache Goodness Cake
That cake was delicious! I’m looking forward to making it again!
Next time it will be gluten-free
- Cream Puffs
- Chocolate Orange Cookie Bars
By the end of the night we were all fed well and laughing, enjoying each others company and honoring our friend who will soon be married to her best friend. It was fun.
Look forward to the next party because it will be Pajama Party themed! I’m the matron of honor for the next wedding so it will be a fun couple of months!
OK, that cake looks fabulous!! Such a fun party!
