Try It Out Thursday: Cocoa & Chili Rubbed Pork Loin

Try it Out Thursday

Try It Out Thursday is dedicated to recipes or ideas that I find on Pinterest or receive in my e-mail. I tend to “pin” and save a lot of recipes & craft ideas and never try them so I decided that this will help me wade through the many pins and e-mails that I have.

My husband and I were out and about this week running errands when I received an email from Cooking.com. I receive this email daily and usually drool over whatever the Recipe of The Day is. The Recipe for the Day that day just happened to be Cocoa & Chile Rubbed Pork Chops. The thought made my mouth water. I’m honestly not sure why since I’m not a big fan of pork in general. I’ll eat bacon but that’s about it.

Anyway, we made our way over to Sam’s Club and I picked up some Pork Loin Filets. The thing that I love most about this recipe is that you BRINE the pork for an hour before you even cook it. Whatever you do, don’t skip this part because it makes for some very JUICY filets.

Once the pork has been in the brine for at least an hour, you dry each piece individually and then coat them in the cocoa & chili spice mix and then throw them on the grill as directed in the recipe.

Here’s what they looked like when I pulled them off the grill.

When I sliced it up it was so juicy!

My dinner that night was so good that I ate it again the next day for lunch!

Hope you’ll check out the recipe and grill this pork up!

Keep coming back on Thursday’s for “Try it Out Thursday”!

  1. These sound like something I should add to my “to try” list! Once we get more gas for the grill, anyway… 🙂
