Better Late Than Never

Since getting married, my hubby and I have had some sort of Fall (BYOP – Bring your own pumpkin) party where I make lots of yummy food and we, along with our guests carve pumpkins!

This year, that just didn’t happen. Since coming back from our vacation in October, we have been on the go-go-go! The weekend after our vacation, I spoke at a Mother Daughter Conference that our church held. I also lead worship for the conference for the same conference. My husband was the production manager for the conference so he was SUPER busy too!

I have a post coming on the conference soon, so keep an eye out for that. It was a powerful weekend and the team is ready to do it all over again some time next year!

Back to pumpkin carving, I’m good at getting off track. My hubby and I decided on no party this year but that we would still carve pumpkins. We invited our friend Carey over and got to carving.

It was fun and relaxing. It was nice to just sit and enjoy some time doing something that didn’t require too much thinking.

After all was said and done, I even had time to roast the pumpkin seeds. I made “Garlic Pepitas” and “Salt & Pepper Pepitas”. My foodie penpal this month is benefiting from that project.

Can you believe I’m still not caught up? I really need to take advantage of the feature that allows me to schedule posts *sigh* at some point.
