Try it Out Thursday
Try It Out Thursday is dedicated to recipes, products or ideas that I find on Pinterest or receive in my e-mail. I tend to “pin” and save a lot of recipes and craft ideas and never try them so I decided that this will help me wade through the many pins and e-mails that I have.
My hubby and I have been working really hard not to eat out all the time because it’s just way too expensive these days. We figure that if we can pack our lunch we can save some money, have better portion control and maybe eat a little healthier.
Now, I don’t know about you guys but sometimes I am way too rushed in the morning to even think about packing myself a lunch. Yes, even just 5 extra minutes to make a sandwich is even hard.
The past couple of months I have been giving myself options regarding what I will take for lunch. Sometimes, I have leftovers from dinner the night before, sometimes I have time to make a sandwich and sometimes I have enough time to reach in the freezer to grab a frozen Lean Cuisine or Smart Ones.
As I was scanning for coupons last week and comparing stores and ways to save, I found that Ibotta had an offer for Evol. I had never seen this brand of frozen meal so I decided to do a little research. EVOL is known for making burritos and they have now expanded into meals, flatbreads and pizzas. They even do gluten-free burritos and gluten-free, vegetarian and dairy-free meals !

I bought the Truffle Parmesan Mac & Cheese. It was pretty delightful!
I will most likely buy some of the meals again. I’m kind of intrigued by the whole burrito thing. The store didn’t have any but hopefully soon. Due to where I live, we sometimes get products a little later than the rest of the world.
